Akebono (曙) means dawn or first light of day in Japanese. It is the name we have chosen for this delicate rose copper dial, whose warm hue subtly shifts with the light and evokes the first glimmers of the sun at daybreak.

The Orient Bambino 38 Akebono RN-AC0M15Y is a JDM edition sold exclusively through the official Orient Japan store and limited to just 50 pieces for the Japanese domestic market.

Unveiled in November 2024, this special model features a redesigned brown leather strap that enhances the dial’s warm tones. The result is an elegant, balanced Bambino that is far less conventional than the traditional black, white, or blue versions.

The Orient Bambino is one of the great classics of Japanese automatic watchmaking. Its recognizable domed mineral crystal, applied hour markers, slender hands, and delicate case with thin lugs preserve the retro aesthetic that has made this collection one of Orient’s greatest successes.

The compact 38.4 mm case offers a refined presence and exceptionally comfortable proportions. Its three-hand design with date keeps the dial clean and allows it to be worn as both a dress watch and with more casual outfits.

Inside, it is powered by Orient’s in-house automatic caliber F6724, equipped with manual winding, a seconds stop, and a power reserve of over 40 hours. The transparent case back allows you to admire the mechanical movement and features the limited-edition identification engraving.
